  1. Every Thanksgiving table needs a bouquet or flower arrangement. My bouquet is made of lace flowers. Several including the acorns, large green and lavender leaves topped with a yellow lace bow, the rust Trumpet Lilies, the large yellow-gold flower and the small yellow-gold daisy blossoms, were hand dyed by Nicki of Raviolee Dreams at Etsy. I dyed the remainder.

A small Quail, made of appliqued felted woven wool and wool felt, sits on a stem. There are other critters hiding among the bouquet’s flowers. They include a tiny silver frog, a brass dragonfly, a brass sitting bird, and a brass squirrel. Other charms include tiny pairs of acorns, tiny brass hearts with a Celtic knot design, and silver flowers.

I have embellished the block with several vintage glass (upper left corner) and Mother of Pearl buttons (upper right corner). The two medium lavender daisy type flowers each have a four holed Carnival Glass Button sewn in the flower’s center. The lower right corner is embellished with three silver heart charms and the lower left corner is embellished with a silver skeleton key.
