A little bit about my block. While planning how to embellish this block, I happened to look out my dining room window and noticed the Robins in my backyard. It was the first time I saw them returning from their winter migration. It seemed appropriate to include them on my April block. The Robin is a thread painted, embroidery slip I made and appliqued on to the block.
I used Kathy Shaw’s Raised Appliqued Bunny Pattern to make the white bunny, who sits under the tree. He is all dressed up for Easter, with a blue bow tied around his neck. His fluffy tail was done in Turkey Stitches and then trimmed back to make a sweet pompom tail.
